About Us

Located in Ada, Michigan, KMB Confections creates custom cakes and desserts for your special events.  We help you to make your event unforgettable by bringing your vision of the perfect sweet treat to life.  

Kelli Basher is the sugar artist/owner of KMB Confections.  In 2000 she began her tenure as a Wilton Method Instructor,  attending many instructional seminars and classes from celebrated instructors to build and hone her decorating skills.  Over the years, people would ask her to make cakes for their special occasions and then referred her to their friends and her cake orders grew. 

She participated in the Wilton At Home program in 2016 which launched KMB Confections.  When Wilton made the decision to discontinue their retail education classes in 2018, Kelli began teaching at other locations and through Community Ed programs.  It was through these classes that the "Fun, Friends + Frosting" events were born.  These sessions can be for a child's birthday party, a corporate team building exercise, or for a few friends that want to get together for a bit of fun.
